WoW Classic Season of Mastery brings massive changes to Blackwing Lair Jan-27-2022

Blizzard is making major adjustments for Blackwing Lair within WoW Classic's Season of Mastery, which will make the raid difficult to get cleared for both players as well as guilds.

The Blackwing Lair is a well-known encounter for players who've reached the final game in WoW Classic. But, Season of Mastery players will discover it's quite different from the one they're familiar with , harder to beat and harder to earn WOW gold and experience.

The game has seen major changes to four raid bosses from The Blackwing's PTR. Razoregore, Vaelestrasz, Firemaw and Chromaggus. The four bosses will present more difficult than the initial raid however, Chromaggus is an extremely difficult test for veterans.

Blackwing Lair bosses are turned into 11

Razoregore's fight is now going to produce another Unstable Chrommatic Drake mob which requires tanking for you to remain alive. Next , Vaelestrasz begins with 60% health which means that the fight will take longer than prior.

But, when we hit Firemaw is when things truly begin to get insane. Alongside his usual fire debuff, he also comes with a shield which will flash a chain of light every time you are hit, and increases with every jump as you can see in the video above.

Then, we'll get Chromaggus which has completely changed from his previous version. Instead of taking two breaths every time He'll perform them all in a completely random sequence every time.

The old trick to block walls will not help also, since it doesn't provide line of sight shield as well as the breaths cover a complete 360 degrees of impact. There are a variety of consequences when healers block the breath effects, among which can provide a small amount of protection.

If healers are able to debuff Chrommag's blue affect, it's going to create an ice block that you can cover yourself with, and it will offer a line of view from his breath. The effect doesn't last for long, however the healers have to ensure that they have the timing of their cleanses precisely to keep the raid going.

Further details about the new bosses that are introduced on the bosses in Blackwing Lair can be found on WoWHead. It's no surprise that this is a lot more challenging than the vanilla version, and will require greater cohesion, consumables, as well as perseverance to get through, gaining Classic Gold and experience.
